ARRIS to Display Ultra-Fast Data Speeds and Innovative Access & Transport Solutions at Korean Cable Show

SUWANEE, Ga., May 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Korean cable operators and ISPs are anxious to provide their customers with the highest speed data service and need infrastructure solutions that conserve capital and optimize delivery efficiencies. ARRIS (Nasdaq: ARRS) will bring its broadband access and transport solutions that meet these needs to the KCTA Show in Daejeon, Korea, June 4-7, 2009.

The ARRIS demonstrations will highlight:

  • The C4(R) CMTS' DOCSIS(R) 3.0 Upstream and Downstream Channel Bonding capabilities which deliver data speeds in excess of 100 Mbp/s Upstream and 160 Mbp/s Downstream.
  • ARRIS optical access and transport solutions, featuring the CHP (Converged Head End Platform) with CORWave(TM) multi wavelength transmitters, CORView(TM) Element Management Systems, Opti Max 3100 and Opti Max 4100 1 GHz segmentable nodes.
  • New optical products designed for hybrid and fiber-deep architectures will also be displayed, including CORWave II multi wavelength transmitters with up to 16 wavelengths and up to 65 km reach, as well as the FTTMax(TM) RFoG Optical Network Units and FTTMax E-PON Optical Line Terminals and Optical Network Units.
  • The compact C4c(TM) CMTS, the D5(TM) Universal Edge QAM, Content On Demand and Fixed Mobile Convergence solutions.

Additionally, Todd Kessler, ARRIS VP of Product Management, will speak on "Future Broadband Trends and the Architectural Evolution of the CMTS" -- An overview of trends in broadband services over the next few years and how CMTS architecture may change to accommodate such trends.
